Sun Mountain Capital was founded in 2006 by a team of senior investment professionals with over $500 million in assets under management and advisement, and $3 billion in private equity transaction experience across all facets of the asset class. The firm has experience managing direct investments ranging from $250,000 to $10,000,000, and the partners hold board or observer positions on 80% of the companies in which Sun Mountain invests. Because Sun Mountain's investments are not made in specific industry sectors, the partners often utilize and leverage Sun Mountain's Advisory Committee to help them perform due diligence. Sun Mountain also operates as fund of funds investors and its services include program creation (including assisting clients' first foray into private equity fund investing), process and policy development, allocation planning, robust fund due diligence, and active, quantitative-driven monitoring services. The firm's principals have established successful regional private equity programs in Utah, Ohio, New Mexico, and Mexico.
