Founded in 2003, Copeley Capital invests in change of control transactions involving companies that generate at least $2 million in EBITDA. Transaction types include recapitalizations of family-owned companies, owner/operator transitions, corporate divestitures, and growth capital. Transactions range from $5 to $40 million in total enterprise value. Copeley does not invest along industry lines but focuses on fundamentals, such as experienced management, longstanding customer relationships, a diverse customer base, a favorable competitive environment, and adequate barriers to entry.
