Laura Buckingham

Laura joined Norwest Venture Partners in 2010 and has 17 years of experience within the venture capital and finance industries. As part of the portfolio services team, Laura focuses on community building and outreach programs designed to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration among Norwest’s portfolio company leadership teams. Laura is part of the firm’s digital and social media initiatives and works closely with Norwest’s external events team on CEO-focused mindshare dinners and webinars. She also manages a diverse collection of marketing, research, and creative projects at the firm. Prior to Norwest, Laura was the office manager and marketing coordinator at Gold Hill Capital, a venture debt firm in San Jose. Previously, she was with Lighthouse Capital Partners and Silicon Valley Bank’s venture capital group (now SVB Capital). Laura spent three years writing for Netflix in a freelance capacity. Laura holds a bachelor of science in journalism from San Jose State University and a certificate of achievement in marketing management from De Anza College.
