Judy Meyer is a founder and managing director of Portage Venture Partners, which manages the Portage, DFJ Portage, and Graystone Venture Funds. She currently manages the firm's investments in AptSoft, Cyveillance, ReNamed Biologics, New River Communications, Point Therapeutics, and Stereotaxis.
Meyer brings more than 20 years of venture capital experience to the firm. Previously, Meyer was vice president of Continental Illinois Venture Corp. and Continental Illinois Equity Corp. During her tenure there, Meyer compiled an outstanding investment record as CIVC became one of the most active venture capital firms in the U.S., initiating direct investment for CIVC million in 10 companies, including Micom, Intersolv, and Bay Networks.
Meyer is a board member of the Lazard Technology Fund Advisory Board and ITEC - Evanston (Illinois Technology Enterprise Corporation) and serves as a strategic advisor to the Ceres Fund. She is also a board member of the Over the Rainbow Foundation and member of The Executives' Club of Chicago.
Meyer earned her B.A. in Political Science from Northern Illinois University and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
