Joseph Wiendl, CFA CPA, brings more than 20 years of diverse financial and business development experience to Joi Scientific.
He has held senior positions with investment and merchant banks including Raymond James and Macquarie Capital, and brings a wealth of industry knowledge from the venture capital, industrials, alternative energy, aviation/aerospace, defense, and government coverage areas. Wiendl was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to serve as a commissioner and then as an economic development officer for the State of Florida, overseeing aerospace industry development strategy.
Earlier in his career, he worked for Lockheed Martin as an internal consulting team member and served in the U.S. Navy as a qualified surface warfare officer with tours in engineering and combat operations.
Wiendl is a Certified Public Accountant, holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, serves on the Audit Committee of Leadership Florida, and is a member of the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry.
He has an accredited Aerospace Engineering degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, an MBA degree in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MS degree in Accounting from the University of Tampa.
