Jennifer James

Jennifer leads investor relations and communications for Sofinnova Ventures. She managed investor relations through the firm’s latest fund, SVP VIII, a $440M life science focused fund. Jennifer joined Sofinnova as Vice President of Marketing and Investor Relations in 2011. Her career in marketing and venture capital spans nearly two decades, including as Director of Marketing and Communications for Alta Partners and Vice President at Blanc and Otus Public Relations, where she worked with a wide range of firms including Polaris Venture Partners, Prospect Venture Partners, Technology Crossover Ventures, and Sutter Hill Ventures. James has counseled all stages of healthcare companies as well as venture capital and private equity firms, investment banks, management consulting firms and law firms, and venture backed philanthropy organizations. Prior to Blanc & Otus, Jennifer was an Associate at A.T. Kearney. Jennifer began her career at Putnam Publishing in New York City.
