Red River Ventures is a private equity fund investing in privately-held growth companies. Red River Ventures has no geographic limitations and will invest nationally; however, the firm does focus on companies in Texas, New Mexico and the surrounding states to work more closely with management. The firm has $86 million of capital under management, and makes equity investments of $3 to $6 million, primarily in established companies whose products and services are meeting growing acceptance in the marketplace. Red River Ventures usually takes a minority ownership position in companies whose management has significant equity ownership. The firm's current investments are in business services, education, healthcare, manufacturing and technology (reflecting Red River's diversified industry focus). Transactions the firm invests in are: Expansion financings for existing businesses, Recapitalizations, and Management led acquisitions. The firm is currently fully invested and is not considering any new investment opportunities.
