Hermann-Josef Lamberti was appointed a member of the Supervisory Board at the General Meeting of ING Group on 13 May 2013. Until 2012 he was chief operating officer of Deutsche Bank AG.
Hermann-Josef Lamberti was a Member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank AG from 1999 until 2012 and operated as the bank’s Chief Operating Officer. As COO he had global responsibility for human resources, information technology, operations and process management, building and facilities management as well as purchasing.
He joined Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt in 1998 as Executive Vice President. From 1985, he held various management positions within IBM, working in Europe and the United States, in the fields of controlling, internal application development, sales, personal software, marketing and brand management. In 1997, he was appointed Chairman of the Management of IBM Germany. Mr Lamberti started his career in 1982 with Touche Ross in Toronto, before joining the Chemical Bank in Frankfurt.
He studied business administration at the Universities of Cologne and Dublin, and graduated with a master’s degree.
