Harold Jones is Senior Vice President – Environment, Health, and Safety for Eaton Corporation. In his current role, Jones is responsible for developing the strategy, deployment and execution of EHS in all of Eaton’s 400+ manufacturing locations spanning more than 140 countries worldwide, and covering more than 100,000 employees.
Jones joined Eaton in 2011 from GE Aviation; a $20 billion operating unit of GE, where he led the EHS function globally, serving as general manager. In this capacity, he also led Lean Six Sigma and Health & Medical Programs.
Previously, Jones held various leadership roles of increasing responsibility at GE, including Six Sigma Master Black Belt supporting the Structures Center of Excellence, manager of the Supply Chain EHS organization and manager of EHS for GE Aviation’s Evendale, Ohio Operations. Prior to GE Aviation, he led the GE HealthCare EHS program. Before joining GE, Jones held positions in environmental engineering consulting. Jones also taught Civil Engineering at Marquette University.
Jones holds Ph.D, MS and BS degrees in Civil Engineering from Marquette University, and is a licensed professional engineer.
