Daniel Saul

As part of a never-ending quest to earn frequent flyer miles, Dan founded Smarter Living/Smarter Travel in 1998 as a way of sharing consumer tips and travel bargains with his friends. It became the largest online travel news source providing content to companies such as USA Today, Boston.com and LATimes.com. In May 2007 TripAdvisor acquired Smarter Travel Media, operator of SmarterTravel.com and BookingBuddy.com. Prior to founding Smarter Living, Dan was a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton’s Marketing-Intensive practice, where he specialized in strategic planning for media and entertainment companies. He graduated from Harvard College Magna Cum Laude in Economics. Despite being a Yankees fan, Dan resides happily in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
