Baron Davis

Baron Davis is a two-time NBA All-Star and record-holder. Over a thirteen-year career, he played for the Charlotte Hornets, the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the New York Knicks. Known for his electrifying style on the court, Davis was a powerful point guard, who won national acclaim for executing in crucial, high-pressure moments, when his team needed him the most. An entrepreneur, investor, and businessman, Baron was one of the original investors for Vitaminwater and helped with the launch of Thrive Market. Baron is also the founder of several companies under his Bar Davis Enterprises (BDE) banner, including Sports and Lifestyle in Culture (SLIC), The Black Santa Company, and No Label—each with the objective of combining creative talent with original publication and production to provide powerful and engaging stories that appeal to global audiences.  Under Baron Davis Enterprises and its affiliated or managed entities, Mr. Davis invests in operating companies with a focus on SIC sectors: Film and Music Production, Publications, Merchandise and Retail, Finance, Real Estate, and Technology. In film, music production, and publication, BDE acquires, develops, launches, and operates high-end publications, premium films, animations, documentaries, TV shows, and promotional content with the goal of creating unique, new worlds and experiences for the consumer market. Leveraging international experience and practical business acumen, BDE is currently operating No Label, a premium production entity; SLIC Studios with focused content and IP development within Sports, Lifestyle and Culture; premium content, merchandise, and experiences around the culture and voices within basketball; and The Black Santa Company, a new media company that creates original characters, animations, comic books, children books, contemporary and engaging content, and high-quality products celebrating diversity, fun, and positivity. In the finance industry, Baron Davis Enterprises incubates and invests in start-up firms operating in the merchandise, production, music, technology and financial services sectors. The firm’s real estate platform focuses on under-utilized assets in national urban markets. Through acquisition, design, and development, the entity unlocks value in real estate, providing superior risk-adjusted returns, while positively impacting each community entered. Another of Baron’s ventures, BIG (Business Inside the Game) aims to create unique gatherings designed to catalyze entrepreneurship, creative achievement, and global change. Through a series of invitation-only events and seminars, BIG fosters a global community of entrepreneurs, athletes, scientists, artists, non-profit founders, musicians, authors, engineers, tastemakers, and thought leaders.
