Hawn Foundation

Hawn Foundation is an independent non-profit foundation located in Dallas, Texas. The foundation was established in 1962 by William Russell ("Fritz") Hawn and his wife Mildred Hawn for the purpose of providing aid to charitable, educational, scientific, and literary institutions. The foundation provides grants primarily for health care, the arts, children and youth services, education, and to organizations providing direct assistance to needy individuals. It makes grants to educational, scientific, cultural, literary, Christian, and other charitable organizations with a primary emphasis on charitable organizations serving the Dallas, Texas metropolitan area. The assets of the foundation are managed and governed by the board of directors.Hawn Foundation's investment portfolio is valued at over $36.54 million as of August 31, 2018, with investments in private equity, hedge funds, publicly-traded equities, fixed income securities, and cash.
