California Institute of Technology Endowment

California Institute of Technology manages an endowment fund which is based in Pasadena, California. The endowment advances the institute's mission by securing annual, capital, planned and endowed gifts from alumni and other members of the Caltech community of support. The endowment investment portfolio includes more than 1,100 privately donated endowed funds. Caltech deposits the funds for each newly endowed research center, scholarship, fellowship, professorship, discovery fund, and other endowment gifts into the endowment portfolio for investment. The assets of the endowment fund are managed by the executive and investment committee members.California Institute of Technology Endowment's investment portfolio is valued at $2.98 billion, with investments in domestic and international equity, fixed income, private equity, and cash.
