Alexander & Margaret Stewart Trust (Stewart Trust) is an independent non-profit foundation located in Washington, District of Columbia. The trust was established in 1947 by Mary E. Stewart and Helen Stewart Devore in honor of their parents. The foundation supports research, treatment, and prevention of cancer and pediatric illnesses. The foundation focuses on serving children in the most disadvantaged and vulnerable neighborhoods in Washington, District of Columbia by funding community health centers, neonatal care, early medical interventions to benefit childhood education, speech and occupational therapy, support for the emotionally disabled, and teen pregnancy prevention. The trust supports some cancer treatment for low-income populations in the Nation's Capitol.
