With offices in both Newport Beach and Boston, Windjammer is a national private investment firm which invests control equity, minority equity and subordinated debt in leading middle market businesses. Founded in 1990, Windjammer has successfully raised four institutional funds totaling over $1.8 billion of capital and is currently investing out of its latest fund with over $575 million in commitments. Windjammer seeks to invest between $30 million and $140 million of equity or subordinated debt in middle market companies with a minimum EBITDA of $10 million and up to $40 million. Windjammer seeks investment opportunities across the U.S. and Canada, primarily in three industry segments: niche manufacturing, business services, and value-added distribution. Additionally, prior investments have included: Industrial Automation Control Equipment, Engineered Medical Tools, Private Label Consumer Products, Water Industry Equipment, Community Newspapers, and Healthcare Products and Services. Windjammer does not invest in high tech, real estate, and financial services companies. In addition, investments in operational turnarounds and early stage companies are avoided.
