Mela is an insurance company based in Espoo, Finland. Established in 2009, the firm handles the statutory earnings-related pension and occupational accident insurance of Finnish farmers and also of those receiving a grant or a scholarship from Finland. The company serves farmers, fishermen, reindeer breeders and forest owners living in Finland. The firm offers the customers cover and well-being in all situations of life and the insured at working age are covered by sickness allowance and the MATA occupational accident insurance that is included in the MYEL pension insurance. Additionally, the firm provides the option of complementing occupational accident insurance with leisure-time accident insurance. The assets of the firm are managed by the executive management team.
