Global Insurance Accelerator

The Global Insurance Accelerator is a mentor-driven business accelerator designed to foster innovation in the insurance industry by supporting startups targeting the global insurance industry. The firm was founded in 2014 and is based in Des Moines, Iowa. The firm provides a 100 day program with 1:1 meetings with over 60 insurance centric mentors in the first few weeks. Additionally, the startup companies gets exposure at Global Insurance Symposium (Demo Day) and also gets direct access to over 25 insurance companies and indirect access to countless insurance companies. GIA refers to the group of companies from each program as a cohort. The firm looks for startups who are attempting to solve key issues in non-competitive areas such as: fraud, security, risk management, distribution, data/sharing/security, reporting, regulation, device monitoring, actuarial, quoting and more.
