Fairfax Partners

Fairfax Partners has managed private equity venture funds and investment partnerships since 1989. The firm currently manages two investment funds, Fairfax Partners, LLC, its advisory and general investments arm, and Fairfax Media Partners, LLC, which has been established to invest in assets in the media, telecoms and internet sectors. Both funds are owned by three managing partners and 10 non-managing investor advisors. Since its inception, Fairfax and its investors have started more than 15 companies and invested approximately $50 million in nearly 40 private equity investments. During this period the firm has invested in both leveraged buyout/acquisition-oriented deals as well as more traditional early stage venture capital opportunities. The firm has no more than three or four active investments at any one time. Generally, Fairfax seeks to build its investments around existing companies that have revenues, cash flows and existing customer bases.
